Hello all, this is the info for the donation-based, NOTAFLOF1 quarterly workshop happening Wednesday April 16th, 2025, 10amPST-12pm PST on zoom. (this is dare, and i’m cross posting here from my personal substack thenightgarden.substack.com)

The topic for this month is Working with Images, and it will be a mixture of creative/artistic and somatic ideas and practices that have to do with the eyes, seeing, vision, images and pictures. This experimental workshop is based on my Story, State, Action Model.
There is a wide range of application here, and some of what I will be touching on are:
things you can do using sight and/or images to tone or change your nervous system state
techniques to use pictures & images in different ways (collage in this case but can be applied to other mediums)
image banking (creating image banks for various usage)
and whatever else I can fit in the time slot
Supplies you may want to gather, but none are required
Spare magazines or picture books to cut up, as well as scissors and some medium to large blank paper or cardboard to arrange on. Glue sticks optional as I won’t be focusing on “finished collages”.
A blank journal or something to write in.
Any books with images that you like, including decks of tarot cards, etc. Basically, images you like or enjoy or want to look at (but don’t necessarily want to cut up). This can be anything you have in your place already that has images. Bonus points if there are no words but that’s okay too, like comic books, etc.
Smartphone or a working camera/voice recorder.
A timer. (you won’t need this during the workshop but if you want to replicate some of the techniques on your own it’s very helpful)
Comfortable clothing to move around in
Optional downloads prior (zero cost and vetted for no ai)

This workshop will be geared towards everyone/beginners and applicable in a wide variety of contexts.
It is designed to share with friends & family as it has extremely little overt “spirituality” or “daoism” (whatever the hell those are)
