About Atomic Memory: Atomic Memories is an Evening length show (80mins run time), performed by interdisciplinary Movement Artist Cosmo Rapaport & multi-instrumentalist Arrington De Dionyso. In this performance Cosmo & Arrington Weave together a queer surrealist  dream-scape through Butoh dance, Projection mapping, and an original improvised music score. Atomic Memory fuses together the modern imaginal body with the ancient and cellular perceptions of CREATION. This performance invites witnesses to embark on a journey of spectacle and mediation, and presents an opportunity to experience sensory transformation.
The next round of the Bleeding Cirlce begins in November

What if using your creative power for personal and collective benefit was a universal initiation that belonged to all humans?
For many eras in our ancestral history, and in contemporary subcultures and original cultures across the globe, people use basic ritual/theater and creative structures to externalize inner knowings, clarify necessary communications, and revitalize the community and local ecosystems with deep listening, play, shapeshifting, and tending. They use these communal structures to "think out loud" and transmit inner knowings and reinforce essential wisdoms.
In the Bleeding Circle we call upon this shared ancestral technology to usher in the exiled aspects of ourselves and human culture(s). Steeping ourselves in the "menstrual mind" (Grahn, 1993) we dance with Death, Love, Renewal, and Rhythm, and partner with them as teachers for our current context.

Tabooboo Play: FEED THE DEAD
Sunday 10/22 10am-12:30pmPST
drop in tix for non playground members (included as part of the playground tier)
Our Tabooboo Play session this month will focus on nourishing the ancestral realms with our bold, curious, and high integrity PLAY of some of our most common ancestral ghosts.   Part ritual offering part play-practice. "Tabooboos" are qualities, experiences, and roles that  we tend to avoid or crave individually and collectively. We will build  our capacity to enjoy working from Totality, incorporating exiled  elements like pain and exhaustion in our expression  as opposed to  narrow definitions of art or beauty (organic deviance). We will also  train in how to ride out intense energy shifts and release without  overwhelming ourselves or the collective field (ecstatic restraint). Our  "techniques" will include meditation/contemplation, character  development and interviews, live coaching, witnessing, and reflection  processes.

This is Embodied Research guided by nondual (holistic) animist  principles, the roots of creative expression, and play. Devising as  metabolizing, and metabolizing as devising! Varies each month. Training  in light ritual improv, devising, subtle sensing, and co-dreaming. They  will include elements from previous offerings like Deathclown methods,  Social Curious, lay the f*ck down, What Play Be, as well as our combined  training in Viewpoints, Buffon, Butoh, Systemic Constellations, Theater  of the Oppressed, Physical Theater, and more. As always our knowledge  of nervous system health, how organisms learn, and nondual animist  relating will steward everything we do.

Diddling with Distortion is back!: Reworking our inner narratives toward enduring self-intimacy
Monday 10/30 5:30-7:30pmPST
Developing self-talk, or inner voices that uplift you,  clear your perception, and offer wisdom can save your butt. Our inner  running narratives are in play almost all the time, and they have very  real effects on our physiology and behavior. When we tinker at this  level we can clean up major energy drains and thought-noise that makes  it hard to listen for and follow what is actually most useful or fun. It  is possible to develop inner voices that are so potent they can spark a  similar feeling of being heard and encouraged by a trusted external  source, a friend, partner, or family member.
In this workshop we will focus our attention on the question: "What are my beliefs and inner narratives about The Dark?" The Dark is an exiled quality in modern western culture. It  is associated with mystery, nature, death, uncertainty, and  vulnerability. Sometimes this also extends to anything considered  strange or different or taboo to dominant culture: sex and the erotic,  femininity, people of color, queer people, disabled people, feared  creatures like spiders, snakes, wolves, and insects, and more. The Dark  and all its associates is an essential aspect of all of our lives and  holds its own beauty. What if we could move toward and relate to  the dark with less cultural conditioning? What do we need to  acknowledge and disrupt in our systems in order to do that?
We will use meditation, creative prompts, and live feedback  to get clear on a few core narratives/beliefs we are running related to  The Dark, and then reconfigure them into jewel-like, life sustaining,  spine tingling landmarks of wisdom in our thoughtscapes.
THIS EVENT HAPPENS THE DAY BEFORE HALLOWEEN/SAMHAIN SO DRESS UP TO HONOR YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF "THE DARK"
